Chris Beech

It saddens us all to inform you a member Chris Beech, who has been with Matlock and District swimming club for over 16 years, has sadly passed away. Chris was a member of the Masters swim group, a past committee member, and a father to his two boys, who both learnt to swim and stayed with the club until university. Chris worked quietly on the committee for many years and was influential in supporting the club through those years. He was a man of good values and always placed the swimmers interests at the heart of his work with the club. Chris will be greatly missed by many. He was part of the team and he will be remembered. We know all he would hope for is that the club continues to grow for the next generation of swimmers.
His wife and sons, Diane, Michael and Peter, will remain in our thoughts.
