Sunday – Workshop Sunday 14th May – After the Swimathon

We are encouraging families to have ago at the Swimathon, we hope most swimmers will take part, therefore the following adaptions will be made to training on the Sunday 14th May 2023.

The workshop will work similar to the Saturday evening session we ran before the Open Meet in September.

 

Sessions 1 – 4.15-5.45pm

All swimmers welcome from - Foundation B / Development 1 / Development 2 / Development 3 / Club 1 / Club 2 / Club 3 / Masters

We suggest the older groups swim later to allow them to go straight into there training session.

Swimmers are free to drop in and out of the session as and when they please on the half hour.

The lanes will be organised as followed

Lanes 1 – Backstrokes Starts

Lanes 2 – Dives

Lanes 3 – Dives

Lane 4 – Relay take overs

Lane 5 – General social swim (masters session from 5.15)

Lane 6 – Distance swimming (masters session from 5.15)

Lane 7 – Tumble turns Practices

Lane 8 - Tumble turn Practices

Photography and videoing maybe be used on this evening, if you do not wish to be photographed or have images used on social media platforms please make the club aware of this before the evening starts. Email [email protected].

The session will be fun based, swimmer will be given free choice to practice their skills, coaches will feedback and give skills analysis feedback. The session will be lightly structured with a team approach. Swimmers can bring towels poolside to watch and rest during the session.

Swimmers can drop in and out of the first hour and a half as they wish too.

Session 2 – 5.15-7.00pm

Masters swim session as normal if they do not wish to join in the workshop.

Club 3 / Club 2 5.45 – 7.00pm Normal training

THERE WILL BE NO LAND TRAINING. We hope to see you all taking part in the Swimathon and the Workshop.
